The Glenn Miller Orchestra is practically synonymous with the big band era of American music. Although Glenn Miller has long since passed, his music lives on, and the orchestra bearing his name is coming to Bremerton’s Admiral Theatre on March 25.
Miller led his band, which is now referred to as the “civilian band,” from 1938 to 1942, according to Erik Stabnau, the orchestra’s music director. That phase of the band was responsible for many of Miller's biggest hits, such as “Moonlight Serenade,” “Chattanooga Choo Choo,” and “In the Mood.”
